四季折々の風景を見せる日本にあって、けれど一つだけ季節がない町がある。

それがこの長霜町。

地形の関係で、秋の風景のないこの町は、

ごく短い春が終わった後、少しの夏が始まり、それが過ぎた後すぐに冬がやってくる。

海もなく、川もなく、あるのはただ真っ青な空だけ。

そんな町に夏が始まった頃に転校してきた主人公の叶野　正司（かのうせいじ）は、子供の頃に引っ越したときと何の変わりも無いことを驚き、そして喜んだ。

狭い町の中で出会うのは、

ひさしぶりに再会する明るく元気な幼馴染の女の子。

同じように転校してきた天邪鬼で高飛車な女の子。

昔遊んでくれた従姉のお姉さん。

そして、すっかり変わってしまったケンカ友達の女の子。

狭い町の中で皆と仲を深めていくそんな中、主人公達はふとしたことから部活を立ち上げることになる。

「動画部」として学園の認可を受け、従姉を顧問にして始まった彼らの活動は、学園のイベントを手伝うことになってから変わっていく

――まるで主人公とヒロインの一人の関係と同じように。

季節の移り変わりの中、次第に近づいていく二人の気持ち。

そしてそれは、夏と冬との間にできた短い別れの時間の中で、より確かなものになっていく。
